Writing A to Z - available directly through Edutainment Arts
|

*NEW* Writing A to Z - Take your students through the entire writing process
from beginning to end. Taking a
location, plot, character and student suggestions a new story is created
through an improvisational game showing the genesis of writing. Then selected stories written by students
from your school are performed and brought to life on stage showing the beauty of
the first draft. Finally the initial
audience created story is run through improvisational rewriting exercises
illustrating the value of rewriting.
Authors will be celebrated, and the audience will be inspired to write
from A to Z. (For grades K through 8th)

The Icky Yucky Gross Bug Show - available through OCPAC
|

Icky Yukcy Gross Bug Show - Blending science and drama, the assembly teaches students about the creepy life
of bugs through the use of comedy, magic, and audience interaction. At
the end of the program students will know how to identify bugs, the uses of
bugs, the importance of bugs, and all about their habitats. There will be
screams. There will be laughter. And some kids may even eat a bug. It will be
gross and revolting to the adults, but a whole lot of fun for the students. (For grades K through 8th)

Theatre Through the Ages & Storytelling Through Time - available through OCPAC

Theatre Through the Ages - Travel back in time and explore the world of theatre, breaking down the walls that keep us from embracing truly amazing art forms. Students will laugh and be awestruck when they experience theatre movements such as Radio Plays, Melodrama, Shakespeare, and Greek Tragedies. Through it all they'll see that at the root of all theatre is story. (For grades K and up)

Science Magic - available through OCPAC

Science Magic - Behind every great magic trick is science. And behind every piece of science is a world of magic. Students will be amazed when they not only see the impossible become possible, but also learn how to do it themselves. Students will be invited to think like scientists as the try to figure out the puzzles of a magician. (For grades K through 8th)

Endangered Species - available directly through Edutainment Arts
|

*NEW* Endangered Species- The performance begins as an animal presentation. However, when the presenter goes to get the
animal, he notices that the animal is missing.
Someone in the room must be responsible.
The presenter turns detective as he interrogates the audience looking
for suspicious suspects. Finding suspects in
disguise he pulls them up on stage and places them under lie detector tests so that
we may discover their real identity. We discover
that because of their habits (hunting, not recycling, habitat depletion, over population, etc) many animals have
disappeared, but we are unsure if she took the animal that was to be presented
today. (For grades K through 8th)

RESIDENCIES - available through OCPAC

*NEW* Playwriting Residency - The program focuses on helping
students find their voice and inspire creative expression in the form of
playwriting. Each student will create
their own plays from concept, to draft, to table read of their final
draft. Some scripts may even be acted
out in assembly form for their peer to see. (For grades 4 through 12)
*NEW* Improvisation Residency - This program focuses on the original use of improvisation:
helping children with social skills, public speaking and positive problem
solving. Each student will learn the rules of improvisation, basic stage
techniques, sense of ensemble, problem solving and performance level
improvisation games. This course can
conclude with a live show of students performing the games they learned for their
peers.. (For grades 4 through 12)
